December Birthdays

  

1. I remember as a small child ,in the school playground we used to all discuss our birthdays and Christmas. One day someond said tha they wished they were born on Christmas Day , that was they would get hundreds of presents ….. It took me many years to realise this was so wrong. My birthday is 6 days before Christmas I have found the following:

• It can be very hard to go for a Birthday meal at a restaurant without the Christmas theme or Christmas special menu.

• People tend to get you one present for both events if your lucky to get any at all.

  

• I used to feel very frustrated as I didn’t use to feel like it was my special day as everyone was so caught up in the Christmas spirit.  

Now a mother of three boys (two out of the three are very close to Christmas and I have a family birthday from 28th November every day until the 2nd December. It doesn’t stop there , as there are a further 9 friends and family birthdays during the remaining days in December.🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁

1. These times are very interesting for me as I try my best to make by kids birthday good, so they feel special and not forgotten about. I normally don’t really bother too much with my birthday as Im normally finalising the plans for Christmas Day.   

This year I would like to do something maybe a spa day, followed by a lovely meal and hotel stay. I better get planning as time is ticking.

Next year I plan to be abroad somewhere nice and hot to celebrate my birthday/Christmas different to the norm.

  
  

Last Keeping in touch day

Well today was my last keeping in touch day within my one year maternity leave. I have mixed feelings, it’s been great trying to catch up with all the changes within the company over the last year.
It was my last official time of expressing milk in the office meeting room, fingers crossed I would have weaned my little man of the 10:00/11:00 feed. 

 
 I will really enjoy my final 5 days of maternity leave. I will then enjoy my 25 holiday😁. Time to get ready for all the family birthdays coming up before Christmas there are 7 family birthdays and 5 friends birthdays before the end of December. 

I will actually enjoy going to baby groups again for the next few weeks before I return to work in January full time. It’s going to be fun juggling the morning run and picks ups after work . 

 During the past few weeks I have found it very frustrated when the trains were delayed and was unable to get connecting trains stress.
Looking forward to Christmas🎄🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾🍾🍾

Weekend

Friday afternoon at work was good, had that typical Friday feeling of excitement,the weekend is here time to spend quality time with my boys.The plan was to go to a friends to get two of boys hair done. They have been growing it for a few months. Love it when it’s done but really find it frustrating when it’s the  in between stages . I haven’t got a girl so I should be grateful I get to do their hair . I can cornrow but think it looks neater when my friends/hairdresser does it . I do miss getting their hair cut and shaped up as I think it looks soo smart . But they want to grow it so I just have to be supportive. 

   
 
 Friday night was difficult as my youngest 11 month olds cough and cold got worse , he woke up having coughing fits and vomitng.Had the Calpol camomile and lavender plug in which was strong but didn’t seem to ease his symptoms too much. 

The news in Paris is heartbreaking so sad all those innocent lives lost💔💔

Saturday Morning had to call 111 and they sent me to my local chemist for extra services ,where they checked him out and prescriped Dioralyte and more paracetamols. They suggested to continue with cough medicine but I feel it was making him worse. 

So stayed home and got on with housework/ looking after little man. 
My Mum came round to spend the day , she got an uber cab home and forgot to enter the promotion code I sent her for £10.00  off her ride home🙈. 

Didn’t get much sleep Saturday night but managed to have a nap Sunday afternoon miracle . Think I needed that, woke up time to get the dinner on and continue with washing.

He seems a lot better today bless him just need to shift that cough and cold. 

Looks like I will need to sort out my eldest sons hair , as I didn’t a chance to get it done my friend this weekend.

Finalising party for my middle son who will be 8 in a few weeks exciting.🎁🎁🎉🎉🎉

After this week I’m officially on holiday from work until the end of December. Looking forward to attending the playgroups at the children centre and catching up with other mums and babies .

Feeling soo Proud of both my boys school reports, and great parents evening.They better not get to comfy😝 they better keep up the good work and keep reaching and exceeding their targets xx🎉🎉🎉🙌🏽🙌🏽

    
   

Free Trains for children under 11

This is great news for parents . Children are expensive as it is, so it will help parents with more than one child. I wonder why the London Buses and Tubes have always been free , but not the trains?

It’s great that you can take it on the go without water. I need this today after my eventful evening and 4:30 waking time. 

The taste is different with the cherry flavour. It has given me a boost, so far so good. Worth giving it a try when your busy and need a quick boost. 

Friday Morning

It’s Friday morning,on the train heading to work. Didn’t get much sleep last night. Had to call out British Gas Homecare engineer as there was an electrical fault on the circuit board at home. 

The boys were not to impressed. We huddled together until I sorted out back up lighting around the house.  It was a different and interesting Bon fire night. 

Thank God I had so many normal and scented candles . Think it’s time to invest in a few more torches for emergencies and and old fashion house phone in the event of no power. Fingers crossed it will get sorted properly today.
Little man slept in his cot until 23:00 then had to co sleep as was tired and needed sleep for today.  

Just seen this bed and think it’s a really cool idea.

Great for first year or so, could help with transition into their cot/cotbed as they are sleeping in separate part of the bed. It’s like a built in cot how cool.

 
It’s looks as if there is a bottle storage /warmer part at the side of the bed which could be very useful during the night for babies on formula.

16:26 My first cup of tea for the day

Well today has been an adventure to say the least . Had an appointment at 9:30 was aiming to get there for 9:00, left home without breakfast or a cup of tea. Time was against me. Decided to get the bus huge mistake 🙈🙈 had a very long journey got there slightly late. 

  

  
Had a fun journey back home . I checked with the bus driver to make sure it was going the right place . After getting the buggy on the back of the bus. He was quite rude think he is feed up with everyone asking that question . I only asked as I haven’t got that bus in years. Then the crazy people started to board the bus. People without credit on their Oystercards . 

  
People getting angry with a lady speaking to the driver as her child nearly fell off the bus🙈didn’t actually see what happened as it was packed. Then a women got on very loud I couldn’t work out if it was blue paint in her hair and over half her face. Well she walks past and smelt of alcohol and kept swearing and  acting rude making everyone feel uncomfortable . She tried to pay someone for a seat and tried to sit on the floor near the bus driver. He soon told her she couldn’t sit there she started singing a danger song. So glad my other boys were not on this bus to hear all the swearing. She finally got off the bus and a passenger told me she is a regular on the bus and normally swear at school children. I poppedinto Tescos to get a few bits struggled home with pushchair and bags .Well I can say I really missed my car today and won’t be doing that again. Got the dinner on and think it’s time for a nice cup of tea, before feeding the boys and off to Kung fu we go .
