Activity for Kids -Day Visit to Butlins

It’s been a very long time since I have written my last blog. It’s been fun trying to balance working full time and three kids …..

As a child I used to remember seeing all the adverts for Butlins and the red coats ,it looked so fun . Unfortunately I never visited a Butlins resort until I had children of my own. My Mum used to get last minute deals abroad instead . I used to love them too so can’t complain. But very glad I can take my boys to Bognor for the full Butlins experience.  We have stayed a few times and have visited for the day a few time too. I really wanted to go as my youngest 1year old had never been. Thought I would go in the February half term as I had the week off work too.

 Overall we had a great day , there is something for all ages. The kids didn’t want to leave . Will need to plan a weekend or week trip so we can enjoy everything .

Hey All, this is my first post in a while. I have been snowed under with way too many birthdays. Well it’s time to get use to it and start early planning next year as things are not going to change.

I have so much to share / review so watch this space. 
I’m really looking forward to Christmas but am very unprepared compared to last year. I had all presents wrapped ready by November. I was heavily pregnant but wanted to get it all sorted as I knew the first few weeks would have been exhausting and a blur with a new born and two older boys.
This year my Christmas shopping will be very last minute as I have been on Maternity leave and pay day is this Friday. 🎉
Exciting times Im now planning a spa day for my birthday on Saturday this is so overdue. Think my body will be in shock as I will actually be relaxing and meditating for the day. Roll on Saturday, then roll on last minute online and shopping for Christmas presents.

December Birthdays

  

1. I remember as a small child ,in the school playground we used to all discuss our birthdays and Christmas. One day someond said tha they wished they were born on Christmas Day , that was they would get hundreds of presents ….. It took me many years to realise this was so wrong. My birthday is 6 days before Christmas I have found the following:

• It can be very hard to go for a Birthday meal at a restaurant without the Christmas theme or Christmas special menu.

• People tend to get you one present for both events if your lucky to get any at all.

  

• I used to feel very frustrated as I didn’t use to feel like it was my special day as everyone was so caught up in the Christmas spirit.  

Now a mother of three boys (two out of the three are very close to Christmas and I have a family birthday from 28th November every day until the 2nd December. It doesn’t stop there , as there are a further 9 friends and family birthdays during the remaining days in December.🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁

1. These times are very interesting for me as I try my best to make by kids birthday good, so they feel special and not forgotten about. I normally don’t really bother too much with my birthday as Im normally finalising the plans for Christmas Day.   

This year I would like to do something maybe a spa day, followed by a lovely meal and hotel stay. I better get planning as time is ticking.

Next year I plan to be abroad somewhere nice and hot to celebrate my birthday/Christmas different to the norm.

  
  

Last Keeping in touch day

Well today was my last keeping in touch day within my one year maternity leave. I have mixed feelings, it’s been great trying to catch up with all the changes within the company over the last year.
It was my last official time of expressing milk in the office meeting room, fingers crossed I would have weaned my little man of the 10:00/11:00 feed. 

 
 I will really enjoy my final 5 days of maternity leave. I will then enjoy my 25 holiday😁. Time to get ready for all the family birthdays coming up before Christmas there are 7 family birthdays and 5 friends birthdays before the end of December. 

I will actually enjoy going to baby groups again for the next few weeks before I return to work in January full time. It’s going to be fun juggling the morning run and picks ups after work . 

 During the past few weeks I have found it very frustrated when the trains were delayed and was unable to get connecting trains stress.
Looking forward to Christmas🎄🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾🍾🍾

Free Trains for children under 11

This is great news for parents . Children are expensive as it is, so it will help parents with more than one child. I wonder why the London Buses and Tubes have always been free , but not the trains?

It’s great that you can take it on the go without water. I need this today after my eventful evening and 4:30 waking time. 

The taste is different with the cherry flavour. It has given me a boost, so far so good. Worth giving it a try when your busy and need a quick boost.

Baby Show Olympia

Had fun today at the baby show, checked out a lot of products new ideas.  

 
Got lots of testing and reviewing to do.😁

Lots of people, great changing facilities free nappies and wet wipes by Pampers👍🏽

Got there 12:30 lunch for son from AK Annabel Karmel. Surprised the cafes didn’t sell baby food within the Olympia at a baby show so thank God for AK as only brought enough for one meal. Great feeding facilities there is a private area for nursing mothers. A open plan feeding area with microwaves Tommee Tippee bottle preparation machine etc etc .

There was everything there from feeding , clothing, travel systems etc. All items are at a reduced price and you also get great samples and you get to test out new inventions which are soo cool.

Clock change

Morning All, Who actually got extra sleep this morning ? Anybody with kids?  

 Many years ago this was my favourite time change. I used to go out partying and have an extra hour out, or enjoy an extra hours sleep or just rest in bed. Sleep is one of the big sacrifices you make as a parent.

My eldest son finally slept through 6-7 months ,my middle son 5months. Well my third son is nearly 11 months and things are very different.

He used to wake only once or twice a night until the painful teething started🙈. Since then he wakes frequently through the night.  I’m actually getting use to it. Not sure what it’s going to be like once he sleeps through , I probably be in shock.
